i agree ps3 at least can go to 1080p out of the box i guess? :S lol and blu ray is better than HD-DVD which is dead now at this moment :rl:

There is no need to explain. Its not a big secret that Alienware sells their products overpriced. You actually pay for the design. There Hardware they are using is good, but you can get all those much cheaper somewhere else.
If you guys know Alienware you will know Anyway AW is a very good brand with an amazing quality build mostly for gamers.
The price for the Area 51 m5500 when it came out was like around 1k, depends on the configuration you chose.
Spec. sth like C2D 2GHz, 1GB Ram, 80GB HDD, ATI x1400 mobile.

Rofl, that's the common misconception that most people take to be as facts. Buying from Alienware is like eating at a fancy restaurant. If you've never experienced it, you cannot make assumptions. I paid 1600 for a Core 2 Duo T7400, with 2 gb of ram, 120gb 7200 RPM harddrive with an upgraded video card. The system turned out to cost $200 more than competitors at the time. This is including my 2 year warranty and the ultra high resolution screen. (1920x1200). I did my homework and I did my shopping around before I pulled the bullet on the Alienware. I looked at the XPS as well as the gaming series by Asus and none could match what Alienware could offer me. I've dealt with many companies before, IBM, HP and none of their customer service was as good as Alienware. I ordered several laptops for the company I work for from different companies and none could live up to Alienwares standards. I call customer support and I get an answer from a knowledgeable representative not only in the same Country but they went out of their way to get me a representative in my State incase the notebook needed to be brought in for service.
