Leather gives alot more protection over mesh jackets. if you want to go for practicality u should just get leather.

yeh leather is best for abrasion, but its not warm or water proof, remember i live in UK and its winter atm

textiles are catching up with leathers in terms of protection (Y)

yeh unless its been coated in something, most leathers aren't water proof. The water will eventually seep through.

The textiles i have got have got a nice thick thermal liner inside and its all armoured up and fully waterproof, so should do the job (Y)

lol no, textiles are better at being warm and are water proof...

leathers look cool and are more resistant to abrasion or go for stingray/kangaroo leather
