Haha yeah. Was testing for leaks. Didn't want everything all nice and then have to take it all apart because it was leaking.

It's actually pretty safe if you about it wisely. Using distilled water because it's not conductive helps prevent shorting the system out. Letting it run for 24 hours to test for leaks before you put your system in (see first pic). Things like that.
