They have a break in period. After two days, your foot muscles kick in and you get into them.
These are the hiking padded series.

This one is a work horse. Weighted and made for height and body type. Specifically for wood spiting and tree falling.
Hunting wise, separate from the axes-I travel to hunt. Included but not limited to:

Deer
Moose
Wild Boar
etc..

As of late, a lot of far off the map fishing.

Rule of thumb-must eat and use all of what you kill.
