We are using a 20 year old National Rice Cooker atm... it's been overcooking the bottom of the rice for the last year or so. I've been keeping an eye out for a nice Zojirushi for a while and I guess today was the day ^_^

YO SEND THAT SHIT OVER

My family loves National rice cookers. I eat the drier top of the rice, my dad eats the lightly burnt bottom and the rest eat the rice in the middle.

Everyone is happy.

Sad they don't sell those National pots anymore. We used ours for years, and reuse the pot when we buy a new rice cooker that fits.

You have a preference? After I make the rice, I just mix that shit altogether.

I think Canadian Tire sells the super tiny ones for like... one person lol.

National rice cookers unevenly cooks the rice, so the resulting rice is perfect for my family.

I prefer the drier rice at the top, simply for the texture.
My mom/brother like the evenly cooked rice in the center, which is more moist.
My dad prefers the charred rice at the bottom of the rice cooker, like those rice pot dishes:

Hey Dan,

where was the book sale at?... i'm looking at getting some of those too...

Unfortunately it's a local sale that's strictly in Markham Ontario (a warehouse sale), runs for 3 days (today was the last), and if you were looking to get programming related books, and unfortunately there seems to be a lack of variety this year.

For those in the Markham area, do keep an eye on next year. This runs annually.
